Thank you for visiting our parish website.
Pope Francis, during the Chrism Mass this year, reminded the world that the phrase Good News may just appear to be another way of saying ‘the Gospel’. However, The Good News points to something deeper, something essential: The Joy of the Gospel.
Pope Francis reminded the world that the Good News was not a thing, but a mission. The Lord has anointed us to preach the Good News; to be full of the joy of the Gospel. Upon recognising Jesus in the breaking of bread, we ourselves are prompted to go and share in His Good News. This video is a good clip that explains the celebration of Mass in the context of the disciples’ journey to Emmaus. It is worth a few moments of your time.
