If you or somebody you know is interested in exploring becoming a Christian and maybe joining the Catholic Church, we have a programme especially designed for you. This is called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).
It involves taking part in a series of friendly and informal meetings, usually once a week, over the period from autumn through to Easter. This might be just with a catechist or in a group that brings together members of the parish with others, like you, who may be exploring the Christian faith and / or considering joining the Catholic Church.
Either wy, while the meetings are structured to cover the main points in Christian faith, the emphasis is on sharing experience and learning through discussion. And while the Catholic Church is happy to welcome new members, it is entirely up to you if you join an RCIA activity, as to whether you choose to go forward and seek membership of the Catholic, or any other church, or none.
