Privacy Policy

As constituent parishes of the Archdiocese of Cardiff, we follow the Diocesan Privacy Policy. This Policy seeks to fulfil the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation which came into effect in May 2018.

Our parishes of Christ the King and St Brigid’s with St Paul’s, mainly collect information by means of a form (both online and in hardcopy) used to create a register of information about current and former parishioners.

We also hold personal information provided by people seeking pastoral help, belonging to parish groups or undertaking preparation for receiving the Sacraments of baptism, first communion, confirmation and marriage.

The information we hold includes name, address, email address, contact telephone numbers, family members, birth year, church principally attended and engagement in church related activities.

This information helps our parishes to provide a better service to parishioners, to realise our objectives and to work within the local community.

The register of information is held securely on the ChurchSuite online platform and is password protected or held in files stored under secure arrangements. Some information collected for pastoral purposes is held on Jotform. This information is not shared with third parties. You can read how ChurchSuite manages and protects the data stored in its Privacy Policy and terms of conditions for third party sub-processors. You can also read how Jotform manages and protects the data stored in its Privacy Policy and terms of conditions.

A full explanation about what information we gather and how it is used is contained in the Diocesan Privacy Policy.
