Dear parishioners and friends of our 3 Churches:

Slowly, slowly we seem to be edging towards the light at the end of the Corona virus tunnel. We are hoping to receive news about opening churches for private prayer in Wales, as has already happened in England. Here in our 3 Churches we plan to open St Brigid’s first, for prayer a few hours a week. Among requirements (a long list!) is the presence of two stewards in the church all the time it is open.

So we are now appealing for volunteers for this role. You must be under 70 years old and sure that you will be available on a fairly regular basis. The more stewards we have, the more hours we can open and the less frequent your turn. Appropriate preparation will be given. Please contact me at matthewjones99@btinternet.com

I suspect that the possibility of spending time in one of our parish “homes”, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, will mean a lot to many people. It would be disappointing if they were unable to take advantage of it.
