Bidding prayers, 10 October 2021 (28th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Priest: Conscious of our failings, we humbly ask for God’s grace to listen to the prayers that we make today.

Reader: We pray for our Church, for Francis, our Pope, and Bishops and Priests everywhere. May they continue to proclaim the Good News to the world through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Reader: We pray for those who hold positions of authority, all leaders in areas of political unrest, all decision and policy makers. We pray that wisdom, common sense and respect will encourage just and peaceful government.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Reader: This coming week is Baby loss awareness week. We pray for all babies lost in pregnancy, at birth or in early infancy; and for their parents and families who grieve for them.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Reader: We pray for the sick and all those who suffer in mind, body or spirit that they may experience comfort and consolation through their faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Reader: We pray for all our Parishioners, Friends and Relatives who have died and gone before us in faith. May they rest in eternal peace.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We now ask Mary, our Blessed Lady, to intercede for us in our prayers as we say: Hail Mary…

We now pray silently to God for our own private intentions…

Priest: Lord God, our Heavenly Father, accept the prayers your children make today, through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
